About Bob Cleaves
Bob Cleaves is President and CEO of Portland, Maine-based Biomass Power Association.
Founded in 1999, BPA is the nation’s leading voice for biomass as a means for generating electricity, representing over 2,000 MW of installed capacity. BPA members include sawmills, paper companies, and independent power producers, doing business in over 20 states and contributing nearly $1 billion to the national economy. BPA maintains an active presence in Washington, and concentrates on federal tax and energy policy to promote the use of woody biomass for electricity use.

About Carrie Annand
Carrie Annand is Vice President of External Affairs, based in Biomass Power Association’s Washington, DC office.
Carrie has worked with Biomass Power Association since 2010, gradually expanding her role from outside PR consultant. Part of her portfolio is overseeing National Bioenergy Day, an annual nationwide educational event recognizing bioenergy’s contribution to heating and power in the United States. The day has doubled in size since its inception in 2013. In addition to media relations and communications, Carrie serves as a resource in membership outreach and government affairs.
Carrie has more than ten years of public affairs and communications experience across many issue areas. She previously served in the press office of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce. She is also a graphic designer.

About Nicholas Mazuroski
Nicholas Mazuroski is the Director of Operations and Research at BPA.
An advocate for issues surrounding sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and the environment, Nick brings an entrepreneurial background to the BPA having previously worked in the solar energy and algal biomass industries. His experience includes business origination, development, operation and fundraising, as well as serving on several Congressional, Gubernatorial, and Presidential campaigns. Nick studied Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at Oxford University, and earned his BA in Political Science from Bates College. He plans to attend Maine Law in the fall of 2015.
