Minnesota Power, a division of ALLETE, Inc., supplies electric service to 144,000 residents, 16 municipalities and some of the largest industrial customers in the United States. The company generates and buys power generated from a variety of sources, including coal, gas, wind, hydropower and biomass. Minnesota Power’s portfolio includes three biomass facilities totaling 109 MW of installed capacity.
